Hartrigg House is a large detached Victorian House with magnificent uninterrupted views down the Wharfe valley. The property lies at the southern entrance to the village.

We offer hospitality to tourists and walkers alike in very comfortable 4 star rated accommodation. Our maxim has always been hospitality and we stick to our principals.

The accommodation comprises a double room with ensuite facilities plus one double and one twin room each with private bathrooms. There is adjustable central heating in all rooms,which are beautifully appointed with TV and hospitality trays.

Two lounges are available for guests’ sole use. One has satellite TV and an open fire-a welcome sight in those winter months. The other,smaller lounge,is suited for reading and relaxing. There are French windows leading to the grassed patio - ideal in summer and perhaps breakfast on the terrace!

Buckden nestles at the very heart of the Wharfe valley. A typical Dales village with 2 tea rooms, one offering evening meals, a local shop and pub.

There are three more typical Dales pubs within 1.5 miles of Buckden all offering lunches and evening meals. Buckden itself is in an ideal position as a stop-over en route or as a base for a few days leisurely exploring of the Yorkshire Dales National Park.
