North Yorkshire Holiday
North Yorkshire is a traditional and homely part of the UK, noted for it’s beautiful moors and coastal resorts. We have lots of accommodation for a North Yorkshire Holiday to choose from.
It is England's largest rural county with a population of 593,500 covering 3,000 square miles, and enjoying a rich tapestry of natural landscapes and coasts.
The Yorkshire Dales, North York Moors, Vale of York and the Yorkshire Coast all offer natural beauty and places to explore for the whole family.
Yorkshire has one of the county's most spectacular coastlines. There are dramatic cliffs towering above the sea. Fossils of ammonites and other sea creatures can be found in the area.
Pretty villages and interesting old towns are dotted along the coastline. Runswick bay is an unusual village with winding narrow streets leading to cottages perched at the waters' edge.
Scarborough is an old fashioned seaside resort which retains much of its victorian grandeur. It has something for everyone! There is a castle which dominates the town, the victorian Spa complex, unusual trams running us and down the cliffs, the Sea Life centre, plenty of seaside amusements and donkeys on the beach.
Whitby is not far away and is famous for its Jet. It has a wonderful harbour with a lifting bridge to allow the boats out to sea.
There are many interesting small shops and cafes including the famous 'Magpie' cafe for fish and chips, a lovely pier, and of course a beach!
Of course the old town of York with it’s magnificent York Minster dominating the city, is a big hit with many people that visit the region.
With it’s old cobbled streets and buildings still very much in place, there is a real feel of York’s illustrious history.
